After graduating from a program in the Education Department at Wesley College, you have everything that you need for Delaware teaching certification: a degree, a student teaching experience, and passing Praxis scores. To receive your Delaware certification, you must apply on the DEEDS website (see link below) and request from our registrar that your official Wesley College transcript get sent to the Delaware Department of Education (DOE). You must also verify with DOE that they have an official copy of your passing Praxis scores.
If you are interested in an out-of-state teaching certificate, please visit the state link below where you wish to obtain your teaching certification. Most states require at minimum the following: a bachelor's degree with a student teaching experience, passing Praxis scores, official college transcripts, a complete background check, and TB test results. Please verify with your state to see if you need to fulfill any additional requirements.
