Professional Activities

Area(s) of Research:

  • My research and professional activities focus on the creation and preparation of new courses for both the History and American Studies programs.
  • I am especially interested in Ireland and have spent the last ten years researching both the history and culture of the country. I develop travel courses to Ireland which focus on the history and culture of the country.
  • I also develop travel courses to Italy which focus on the history and culture of the country.
  • In May of 2011 I took friends of the College to Sicily and had to organize the itinerary and study Sicilian history and culture for the trip.
  • In October 2010 I spent six days in Peru in an intensive study of its culture and history and prepared a course for May Term 2012 which involved class work at Wesley and travel to Peru.
  • I am also working on a book entitled Milton, Delaware: A Microcosm of America.
