Biography

Dr. Patterson has served on the faculty of Wesley College since 1991; and served as Director of Education Outreach for the College from 1997 – 2004; She is currently serving as chair of the Teach Education Unit's graduate and undergraduate programs. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in science, science methods, curriculum, mathematics methods, and the process of science. Her research is in the area of strategies and models for development of effective science teachers. She has expertise in establishing and maintaining community partnerships. She established the on-campus charter school and the on-campus Boys and Girls Club ;and has generated grants in excess of half a million dollars for educational programming with these entities.
