Biography
Dr. Allison joined the Wesley College faculty in the fall of 1999. He has been Program Director of the undergraduate and graduate programs in Environmental Studies since 2000. Dr. Allison is a broadly trained environmental and agricultural scientist with an academic background in the soil, water, and plant sciences and bioclimatology. His current research interest is focused on using computer models and geographical information systems to analyze agricultural, environmental, and landscape dynamics, specifically the impact of human activity on soil erosion and phosphorus and nitrogen behavior.
Before coming to Wesley College, Dr. Allison held a professorship at Troy State University and the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany. While in Germany, he was research leader for soil erosion studies in Niger, West Africa and was Program Chair for Soil and Water Management in the Tropics and Subtropics.
