Congratulations on reaching the final phase of the Wesley College Education Program. The Internship year (K-8) or Student Teaching (PE K-12 and MAT Graduate program) is the culminating activity of the Wesley College teacher preparation program. The experience is designed to allow the teacher candidate to further develop their continually assessed competencies of planning, delivery, and assessment of student learning in a professional setting. The experience is also designed to allow the teacher candidate to further develop their continually assessed professional qualities of persistence, tolerance of ambiguity, work ethic, and self-direction. Cooperating classroom teachers and college supervisors will utilize departmental rubrics for formative and summative evaluations of the student teacher's progress in both areas.
Some due dates and required documents are provided for your information in the links below. Please feel free to contact the Field Placement Office regarding internships or student teaching.
