Dr. Lynn Lofthouse
Associate Professor of Speech Communications

Why I Teach:

"I love to know that I have made a difference in the lives of students. Every semester I see students come into my classes, both excitedly and apprehensively. In each class, I try to give students the information and encouragement they need to accomplish the assignments successfully, and to believe in their ability to succeed in college and beyond. My reward is seeing how they have been transformed by the end of the semester, knowing I had some small part in their success. Some students articulate how the skills I have given them have helped in other classes already; talk about making my day. I would not give this up for anything."
