Wesley Professors Featured in National Magazine

Wesley Professors Victor Greto and Dr. Angela D’Antonio's presentation at NASPA conference in Orlando is featured in Inside Higher Ed magazine. The presentation explored the relationship between technology and the mental well-being of students using social media. Wesley students were surveyed as part of the research for the presentation.

Wesley College Celebrates “Memories and Milestones” during Founders Day

Wesley College celebrated its 140 year history at Founders Day on March 20 at the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover. Founders Day is a tradition for the College that acknowledges students and faculty with scholarships and awards. This year’s theme was “Memories and Milestones,” featuring former Wesley President Dr. R. Jervis Cooke as a guest speaker. Wesley Poster Accepted for Presentation at 2013 Posters on the Hill Event

Wesley College biological chemistry sophomores Catherine (Catie) Gross and Kaylee Miller have been selected to present an undergraduate research project in organic chemistry at the annual Council of Undergraduate Research (CUR) Posters on the Hill event. This project has been competitively selected by the Council from a pool of more than 800 national applications. Wesley College Faculty Promoted

Wesley College announced promotions for five faculty members: Professor Susan Redington Bobby, Dr. Jill Cole, Dr. Richard Kashmar, Dr. Cynthia Newton and Dr. Jamie Whitman-Smithe. Dr. Cole, Dr. Kashmar, and Dr. Whitman-Smithe were promoted to full professor. Professor Redington Bobby and Dr. Newton were both promoted to associate professor. Wesley College president committed to growing presence in Dover

Wesley College is strengthening its focus in the Dover area. The school has announced plans that include providing more classes at Dover Air Force Base and opening a new Health Sciences Building near Kent General Hospital. Four years ago, College President William Johnston mapped out Wesley’s path to increasing its presence in the state capital. They are well on their way to achieving that goal.

Wesley College’s Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity held a “car smash” fundraiser to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma research on February 22. Students paid $1 to take a few swings with a sledge hammer at a salvage car donated by Fitzgerald Salvage and Recycling. [more]
