Wesley RB Martin Breaks Out in Big Way

Wesley running back Ben Martin was featured in the Delaware State News following his impressive game against Menlo on October 18. Martin gained 194 yards and scored three touchdowns on just five carries in the team's 70-2 win.

Wesley K Speidel's Record-Breaking Performance Earns Honor

Wesley kicker Eric Speidel was named the ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Menlo on October 18. He set a school record by going 10-10 on extra point attempts in the 70-2 victory.

Field Hockey Retires Numbers of Tadlock, Leone

Wesley College retired the numbers of two field hockey standouts, Middletown resident Brooke Tadlock and Dover resident Madison Leone. During their time at Wesley, the two student-athletes put together some of the most impressive careers in the program's history.   Tadlock played for the Wolverines from 2007-10, amassing 53 goals and 17 assists in those seasons. Wesley Alum and State Senator Bonini Lends Hand to #4 Football in California

Delaware State Senator Colin Bonini '92 was able to arrange a tour of Stanford's Cardinal Stadium for the Wesley football team on Oct. 17, a day before the Wolverines' game against Menlo. Following that contest, Bonini also held a cookout for the team at a park in Atherton.

Denegal Named CAC Defensive Player of the Week

Wesley College's Nasia Denegal has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on September 20. This is the first time that Denegal has received a weekly honor in her collegiate career.

Freshman Alyson Davis was named the ECAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week on Oct. 22. She earned her first career weekly honor after finishing the 5K course in 21:51:2 at the Delaware State Invitational.[more]

Nasia Denegal Named Wolverine of the Week

Women's soccer goalie Nasia Denegal was named Wolverine of the Week on October 20, after leading the team to a 1-0-1 record during the week. The freshman made eight saves in a shutout over Penn St.-Harrisburg and 19 stops in a tie against Frostburg St.

Wesley Ranked Top Division III Team in First Lambert Meadowlands Poll

Wesley's football team was ranked as the top-rated Division III squad in the first Lambert Meadowlands poll of 2014. Lambert is an organization that recognizes Eastern-based college football teams on all levels of play, including Division I. Wesley beat out five other undefeated programs for the honor.

Wesley Football Featured in AFCA Poll, Remains 4th in Coaches and Media Polls

Coming off a 54-0 victory at Concordia-Selma last Saturday, the Wesley College football team continues to be ranked fourth in both the American Football Coaches Association and D3football.com Top 25 Polls. The team is currently 6-0, which is their best start since the 2010 season.

Wesley College's Shade Named ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Wesley College's Bryce Shade was named the ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week, following Wesley's 54-0 win against Concordia-Selma on October 11. Shade returned a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown and had another runback for 35 yards during the game.
