Women’s Soccer Reads Across America

Several members of the Wesley College women's soccer team volunteered to be guest readers at John Bassett Moore Intermediate School's Seventh Annual Read Across America Event last week. Kobasa Named NABC Regional Coach of the Year

Wesley College head men's basketball coach Jerry Kobasa has been named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Middle Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, it was announced on Tuesday morning. Also named the Capital Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, this is the first time that Kobasa has been named a Regional Coach of the Year. Langan Earns D3hoops.com All-Region Honors

Wesley College's David Langan has been named a D3hoops.com First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection, it was announced by the website late Sunday night. This is the first All-Region honor that Langan has received in his career. A senior center from Sayreville, N.J., Langan was joined on the first team by Cabrini's Aaron Walton-Moss, Ross Danzig of Scranton, Dickinson's Adam Honig, and Brian Parker of Alvernia, who the Wolverines defeated in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.

Lutz Named CAC Player of the Week

Wesley College's Jorden Lutz was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on March 10.  A native of Collinswood, N.J., Lutz led the Wolverines defensive effort in a 14-9 victory over Centenary (N.J.) last weekend with four caused turnovers, four ground balls and five draw controls.  Lutz also played a major factor on the offensive end with a hat trick along with an assist. #10 Men’s Hoops to Face Alvernia in NCAA 1st Round

Wesley College's 10th-ranked basketball team will face Alvernia University in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 7 on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan University. The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced on Monday morning that Wesley College will become an associate football member of the NJAC beginning in the 2015-16 academic year. Wesley College's Brionna Johnson has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Year, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Johnson is the first Wolverine to ever be named the CAC Rookie of the Year.
