Wesley quarterback Joe Callahan currently ranks first among Division III quarterbacks with 31 touchdown passes so far this season. The junior threw for five scores in football's 75-12 win over Virginia University of Lynchburg on October 25 and has already surpassed his total from 2013 (29).
Several Wesley football players and coaches read to students at Fairview Elementary last week as part of the Jumpstart Read for the Record program. The book of choice was "Bunny Cakes," a comical story of sibling bonding and story shenanigans.

Wesley kicker Eric Speidel was named the ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Menlo on October 18. He set a school record by going 10-10 on extra point attempts in the 70-2 victory.
Wesley College retired the numbers of two field hockey standouts, Middletown resident Brooke Tadlock and Dover resident Madison Leone. During their time at Wesley, the two student-athletes put together some of the most impressive careers in the program's history. Tadlock played for the Wolverines from 2007-10, amassing 53 goals and 17 assists in those seasons. She currently ranks fourth all-time in goals scored and tenth in career assists. Delaware State Senator Colin Bonini '92 was able to arrange a tour of Stanford's Cardinal Stadium for the Wesley football team on Oct. 17, a day before the Wolverines' game against Menlo. Following that contest, Bonini also held a cookout for the team at a park in Atherton.
Wesley College's Nasia Denegal has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on September 20. This is the first time that Denegal has received a weekly honor in her collegiate career.
Freshman Alyson Davis was named the ECAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week on Oct. 22. She earned her first career weekly honor after finishing the 5K course in 21:51:2 at the Delaware State Invitational.[more]
Women's soccer goalie Nasia Denegal was named Wolverine of the Week on October 20, after leading the team to a 1-0-1 record during the week. The freshman made eight saves in a shutout over Penn St.-Harrisburg and 19 stops in a tie against Frostburg St.
