Wesley's Drass Honored, Humbled by Field Name

Understandably, Mike Drass is a little embarrassed by the words. There’s not too many football coaches who go to work every day on a field named for them. But the veteran Wesley College football coach is also grateful to the people who honored him by naming the playing surface in Miller Stadium after him. The words ‘Drass Field’ were painted along both sidelines when a new artificial surface was installed a few months ago.

Wolverines Recognized as IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

The Wesley College women's lacrosse team was honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Monday. The Wolverines were named as an IWLCA NCAA Division III Academic Honor Squad. As a team, the Wolverines compiled a 3.25 GPA for the spring semester, qualifying them for the award. The IWLCA honors all teams, across all institutions that earn a team GPA higher than a 3.0. Wesley was one of 128 teams at the NCAA Division III level to receive the distinction.

Wesley College is proud to announce the Wesley College Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2015. The 10-member class is comprised of nine former student-athletes, including one from the institution’s junior college era, and one legendary coach. Callahan Selected as D3football.com Preseason All-American

After a record-breaking campaign in 2014, quarterback Joe Callahan was selected as a D3football.com Preseason All-American. Callahan's selection marks the third Wolverine on the presitigous list in two seasons. Wolverines Add Top-Tier Opponent to Schedule

The Wesley College football team has made a change to bolster their strength of schedule, adding North Central College (Ill.) to their 2015 slate. The Cardinals finished the 2014 season ranked 18th in the final American Football Coaches Association poll and 15th in the final D3Football.com poll. Wolverines Land 88 on CAC All-Academic Team

The Capital Athletic Conference announced that a record 1,355 student-athletes were named to the 2014-15 All-Academic Team, among them were 88 Wesley College student-athletes. Student-athletes in one or more CAC championship sports that attain a 3.20 grade point average for the academic year earn a spot on the All-Academic team. A record 44.7% (1,355 out of 3,030) of CAC student-athletes posted a 3.20 GPA this year.
