Information Regarding Winter Commencement
A letter to students graduating this December
Congratulations! You have achieved a great milestone in your life by completing your degree at Wesley College. Graduating from college demands hard work and persistence, and you are to be commended for your accomplishment.
Wesley College’s Winter Commencement will take place at the Dover Central Middle School auditorium on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Each graduate will receive 10 tickets for the event. If you are not attending the ceremony, you are required to submit a written request to the Office of Academic Affairs indicating your desire to graduate in absentia. E-mail or write a letter to Ms. Tina Heesh
(302-736-2429) at heeshtin(at)wesley.edu by December 2. You may also request special accommodations for this event through Ms. Heesh.
In order to prepare for graduation and receive your cap and gown, you must:
· Complete the Office of Financial Aid’s Exit Interview (can be accessed here) More details for this can be found on enclosed step-by-step sheet.
· Complete the degree exit survey that will be sent to your Wesley email address on November 19th.
· Make sure you are cleared of any financial obligations to the College. Please contact (302) 736-2331 if you have any questions concerning your status.

***PLEASE NOTE THAT SURVEYS MUST BE COMPLETED AND ANY FINANCIAL OBLICATIONS CLEARED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CAP AND GOWNS AS WELL AS RECEIVE YOUR DIPLOMA THE DAY OF COMMENCEMENT
All students participating in the ceremony are asked to arrive at the auditorium no later than 6:00 p.m. Graduates will be directed to the gymnasium where they will dress for the ceremony in their caps and gowns. Further instructions regarding the ceremony will be given at that time. Guests are invited to enter the auditorium through the main lobby starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Dover Central Middle School auditorium is located at 211 Delaware Avenue, Dover, DE 19901. Parking will be available in the front, sides and back of school. For those who wish to walk a few blocks, all Wesley College parking facilities are open for use on graduation evening.
