Message from the President
A message from President Johnston regarding Hurricane Sandy
To Students, Faculty, Staff and Families:
In the aftermath of this historic superstorm Sandy, I want to extend our heartfelt concern for those of you that have been in harm’s way and have been negatively impacted due to the recent dangerous weather conditions.
I want to thank the staff and workers who worked tirelessly to care for our students who remained on campus during Hurricane Sandy. Several of those individuals slept overnight on campus in order to provide food, maintenance and a secure environment for our students. The College was fortunate in that it did not suffer any significant damage or loss of power during the storm.
Please know that in the event of major issues, the administration, faculty and staff will do everything possible to provide students the stability and security they need during difficult times. Our first priority will continue to be the wellbeing of our students.
Dr. William (Bill) Johnston
