Wesley College Canned Food Drive Helps Needy
Students at Wesley College held a canned food drive this past week to benefit the Delaware Food Bank in conjunction with the 123=ABC Community Service project. Incoming freshmen worked with current students, faculty and staff to serve the community of Dover through the canned food drive and other activities at the Aug. 18 event. The food drive produced almost 400 items amounting to close to 500 pounds of shelf-stable supplies.
Approximately 17,000 people per week benefit from the Delaware Food Bank’s efforts. Milford Branch Manager, Wesley Adjunct Professor and Alumni Association President Chad Robinson’05, accepted the donation on behalf of the Delaware Food Bank.
