Wesley College Schedule for Monday, March 3rd
The Governor has declared a state of emergency for this evening (Sunday) and for Tomorrow. Schools and other activities are beginning to announce closures.
Accordingly, Wesley will be closed tomorrow (March 3rd) for business and academic activities. In as much as snow is to taper off tomorrow afternoon, we expect to re-open for regular business and classroom activities at the normal opening time on Tuesday, March 4.
Security, Residence life, Facilities, food service and other student support staff are expected to report for work Monday on their normal schedules. Athletes should contact their coaches regarding practice.
Campus dining will open at 8:00 am for breakfast and extend breakfast service hour until 11:00 am.
Lunch will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Late lunch will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
Dinner will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The Dean of Students and Residence Life are working on activities for Residence Hall Students. Residence should contact their RA's for further information.
Faculty, staff and students are urged to use extreme care in driving and walking about the campus. It takes about 5 hours for facilities to completely clear snow from parking, walks and steps. Even with snow removal and chemical treatment to surfaces, snow and ice cannot be completely removed. Snow tracked into buildings melts and makes floors very slippery. Use weather appropriate footwear and clothing and, be very careful exiting your vehicles, walking up/down steps and entering buildings.
Updated information will be provided if conditions change during this evening or Monday.
