Wesley College’s Winter Commencement will take place at the Dover Central Middle School auditorium on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Each graduate will receive 6 tickets for the event. If you are not attending the ceremony, you are required to submit a written request to the Office of Academic Affairs indicating your desire to graduate in absentia. E-mail or write a letter to Ms. Tina Heesh (302-736-2429) at heeshtin(at)wesley.edu by December 2. You may also request special accommodations for this event through Ms. Heesh.
In order to prepare for graduation and receive your cap and gown, you must:
All students participating in the ceremony are asked to arrive at the auditorium no later than 6:00 p.m. Graduates will be directed to the gymnasium where they will dress for the ceremony in their caps and gowns. Further instructions regarding the ceremony will be given at that time. Guests are invited to enter the auditorium through the main lobby starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Dover Central Middle School auditorium is located at 211 Delaware AvenueDover, DE 19901. Parking will be available in the front, sides and back of school. For those who wish to walk a few blocks, all Wesley College parking facilities are open for use on graduation evening.
ORDER A DVD OF THIS EVENT ($20.00)
The Department of Media Arts at Wesley College will be recording this year’s Commencement with multiple cameras and high quality sound recording. We want to share this video with you as a keepsake of this momentous evening. The cost of the DVD is $20.00 and will contain the complete ceremony including all the graduates crossing the stage to accept their degrees. Proceeds from the sale of the DVD will be used to fund program development for the Media Arts program at Wesley College. It is a win-win for all concerned and a perfect way to remember the moment for years to come. DVDs will be shipped in time for Christmas.
