Wesley Students Earn Recognition for Research
Olivia Hampton (biology) and Gabriel Fernandez-Bueno (biological chemistry)
Two Wesley College students, Olivia Hampton (biology) and Gabriel Fernandez-Bueno (biological chemistry) presented their undergraduate research at the 7th Annual NASA-Delaware Space Grant Consortium (NASA-DESGC) Conference at the University of Delaware on April 12.
Both students were 2012-2013NASA DESGC Undergraduate Tuition Award recipients and earned certificates of merit for their research at the conference. In addition, the research poster also received an American Chemical Society (ACS) award earlier this month from the division of analytical chemistry.
The undergraduates interned with Wesley College Professor of Chemistry Dr. Malcolm D’Souza analyzing common analytical chemistry methodologies used to study rates of reaction.
