Wesley Students Present at Conference

Wesley College Professor of Mathematics Dr. Agashi Nwogbaga, accompanied mathematics majors Brittany Kowalewski and Riza Bautista to a regional math conference. The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) conference was held on April 26 at Scranton University in PA.


Kowalewski, a junior gave her presentation “Proving Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem and Sequence Convergence,” during the conference. Bautista, a sophomore presented “Writing Codes for a Computer-Assisted Program.”


Both students were awarded MAA certificates of recognition for their presentations. In addition, Nwogbaga presented on behalf of the Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware (EPADEL) section of the MAA led discussions for the “Food for Thought Series” which deals with undergraduate research.
