Wesley Students Earn Recognition for Research
Two Wesley College students, Olivia Hampton (biology) and Gabriel Fernandez-Bueno (biological chemistry) presented their undergraduate research at the 7th Annual NASA-Delaware Space Grant Consortium (NASA-DESGC) Conference at the University of Delaware on April 12. Wesley Professor Featured in News Journal Article
Wesley College Professor of Political Science Dr. Tony Armstrong was featured in a News Journal article about random acts of kindness, which was originally published on April 15, 2013. The article detailed Armstrong's teaching of well-being courses and highlighted his upcoming book "Educating Angels," due out in the fall. In the book, Armstrong emphasizes the importance of teaching children in a way that "touches their heart."
Wesley Celebrates National Student-Athlete Day
The Wesley College Athletic Department, as well as President Dr. William N. Johnston and Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. Raymond Phillips, honored 122 student-athletes for National Student-Athlete Day on Saturday, April 6. Scholars Day Slated
Wesley College's annual Scholars Day will be held on Thursday, April 18. Scholars Day is an opportunity for students to present research on a given topic via oral presentation, poster presentation, performance, or photography exhibits. The presentations take place around the campus from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be no classes from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. due to the events. Wesley’s Summer Advantage
Wesley’s Summer Advantage program registration is now available with double the summer course offerings previously offered. It will provide a chance for students to stay on track and for some to get ahead of graduation requirements in a format that is both efficient and economical. Wesley Professors Featured in National Magazine
Wesley Professors Victor Greto and Dr. Angela D’Antonio's presentation at NASPA conference in Orlando is featured in Inside Higher Ed magazine. The presentation explored the relationship between technology and the mental well-being of students using social media. Wesley students were surveyed as part of the research for the presentation.
