Leone Repeats As CAC Co-Player of the Year

Wesley College's Madison Leone has repeated as the Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Co-Player of the Year. Leone, who shares the honor with Christopher Newport's Belle Tunstall, is the third Wolverine in four years (Brooke Tadlock in 2010) to earn CAC Player of the Year honors.

Wesley College Students Support “Kids in Chemistry” Event

As a part of a DE-EPSCoR and DE-INBRE community outreach program, undergraduates from the Wesley College science program participated in an event to inspire 250 students (in grades 1 – 8) to think about the elementary principles in chemistry. Wesley Offers New Online Graduate Program and Certificates

As more professionals seek to improve their marketability in difficult economic times, Wesley College is making graduate studies more accessible and cost efficient to meet the current demands. Expansion of the graduate programs will include a Master of Arts in Sport Leadership (MA-SL) starting in January 2014. Wesley Student's Research Chosen for Presentation

Wesley College Biological Chemistry senior, Gabriel Fernandez-Bueno’s research was competitively selected for presentation as a poster at the National McNair Scholars Research Competition and Graduate School Fair at the University of Delaware on October 18. Fernandez-Bueno completed his NSF-EPSCoR sponsored research project studying the chemistry of substituted phenyl chloroformates under the direction of Dr. Malcolm. J. Wesley College’s Director of International Programs, Kevin Cullen, recently spoke at the Jobs for Delaware Graduates (JDG) Leadership Conference that involved more than 200 attendees at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover. JDG is a private, non-profit corporation designed to help students achieve academic, career, personal, and social success and has helped more than 42,000 students since its start.[more]

Wesley College to Display Artwork of Former Delaware Resident

Fluttering high overhead in the Parker Library, greeting the Wesley College students as they return to the books, are 75 glass butterflies of various sizes, shapes, colors and styles.  Created by NJ based artist, Amy Spaans Brooks, a 1992 graduate of the University of Delaware, the exhibit is titled, “Transformations.” The butterflies, which Brooks says signify “the changes we go through as we travel through life,” will be on display from September 6, 2013 through the end of the year. Former Frear Building shaping up for Wesley nursing program

In the former J. Allen Frear Federal Building in downtown Dover on Tuesday afternoon, workers wearing hard hats hammered dry wall. Orange cones and tools were scattered throughout the building. A crew worked on the heating and air conditioning system while electricians put in wiring. Many rooms smelled like new paint. Renovations for the building, recently acquired by Wesley College, are on time to wrap up mid-December and, by January, nursing students may be walking to classes there.
