Wesley Professor Jacobs Publishes Article

Wesley Professor of Business Management Dr. Kathleen C. Jacobs recently published an article entitled “Gender-specific jobs keep holding back the economy” in the News Journal. The article focuses on women’s underrepresentation in blue-collar jobs and Jacobs offers insight for a solution. Jacobs is also a member of Delaware Commission for Women and a former president of the Delaware American Association for University Women.

Renovations Wrapping Up at Wesley College

As the school year gets underway, Delaware’s oldest private college is finishing up work around campus, especially in Longwood Hall and Wesley College Chapel. Women’s Lacrosse Honored For Academic Prowess

The Wesley College women's lacrosse team was one of 86 NCAA Division III teams to be recognized as an Academic Squad for the 2013 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors, and the Wolverines were one of just four Capital Athletic Conference members to receive the award.

Fall Sports Finalize 2013 Season Schedules

Wesley College's fall sports have finalized their schedules for the 2013 season. The Wolverines' 2013-14 sport season officially commences on August 30th as the field hockey team, led by 19th-year head coach Tracey Short, travels to Juniata while the men's soccer team travels to Newport News, Va. for a pair of games against Va. Wesleyan and Randolph-Macon College.

Robinson Heads To Arena Bowl, Named All-AFL

Former Wesley College football standout Bryan Robinson had a big week as he was named First Team All-Arena and his Philadelphia Soul defeated the Jacksonville Sharks, 75-59, to earn a trip to Arena Bowl XXVI, which was played on August 17.

Wesley College Undergraduate Research Published

Two Wesley College students collaborated and researched a project that was published in the American Journal of Health Sciences. Ghada Alabed (biology, 2010) and Melissa Earley (mathematics, 2013) completed an undergraduate research project under the direction of Wesley Professor of Chemistry, Dr. Malcolm J. D’Souza. New Students Arrive at Wesley College

“Wally” the Wesley College wolverine mascot greeted many of the more than 600 new students representing 15 states, including Washington, California, Florida, and Wyoming on August 22. One-third of the new students are from Delaware. DNREC Honors Wesley Faculty Emeritus Terry Higgins

On July 25, Wesley College faculty emeritus Terry Higgins was honored by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control with the 2013 Delaware Wetland Warrior Award in recognition of his efforts in wetland preservation. Higgins taught science for 40 years at Wesley, retiring in 2000.
