The Wesley College Department of Nursing held their annual Bachelor of Science in Nursing Pinning Ceremony on Friday May 9 at the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover. During the ceremony 27 students received BSN pins to symbolize completion of their formal nursing program. The BSN pin is fashioned after the Wesley College crest and contains four symbols. Competing in his first-ever decathlon, the two days after participating at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships, Patrick Schlosser finished second overall at the Lynchburg College Multi-Meet held on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Schlosser, who scored 5,961 points overall, was also the first-ever Wesley College athlete to compete in the decathlon.

Wesley College Professor of Mathematics Dr. Agashi Nwogbaga, accompanied mathematics majors Brittany Kowalewski and Riza Bautista to a regional math conference. The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) conference was held on April 26 at Scranton University in PA.
Kowalewski, a junior gave her presentation “Proving Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem and Sequence Convergence,” during the conference. Bautista, a sophomore presented “Writing Codes for a Computer-Assisted Program.”
