Grant Funds 3D Printer at Wesley College

Wesley College's education department recently purchased a 3D printer and computer through grant funds. The method of 3D printing is a process that forms a three-dimensional object designed through a computer program. According to Wesley Professor of Education Dr. B. Patricia Patterson, the machines are becoming more popular today, as there are currently eight Delaware libraries with 3D printers for use by the public. Nasia Denegal Named Wolverine of the Week

Women's soccer goalie Nasia Denegal was named Wolverine of the Week on October 20, after leading the team to a 1-0-1 record during the week. The freshman made eight saves in a shutout over Penn St.-Harrisburg and 19 stops in a tie against Frostburg St.

Wesley Ranked Top Division III Team in First Lambert Meadowlands Poll

Wesley's football team was ranked as the top-rated Division III squad in the first Lambert Meadowlands poll of 2014. Lambert is an organization that recognizes Eastern-based college football teams on all levels of play, including Division I. Wesley beat out five other undefeated programs for the honor.

Wesley Football Featured in AFCA Poll, Remains 4th in Coaches and Media Polls

Coming off a 54-0 victory at Concordia-Selma last Saturday, the Wesley College football team continues to be ranked fourth in both the American Football Coaches Association and D3football.com Top 25 Polls. The team is currently 6-0, which is their best start since the 2010 season.

Wesley College's Shade Named ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Wesley College's Bryce Shade was named the ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week, following Wesley's 54-0 win against Concordia-Selma on October 11. Shade returned a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown and had another runback for 35 yards during the game.

Callahan, Petrose Take Home ECAC Player of the Week Honors

Wesley College's Joe Callahan and Aamir Petrose were named the ECAC Division III Southwest Co-Offensive and Co-Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office on October 7. Callahan threw for 362 yards and totaled six touchdowns (5 pass, 1 rush) in Wesley's victory against Louisiana College. Petrose tallied five tackles and two sacks.

Flood Family Donation Supports Wesley College Student Success

Wesley College faculty, staff, students, and members of the Dover community gathered to honor Jim Flood Sr. and Kathleen Flood for their generous contribution to fully fund the renovation of Wesley’s Writing and Tutoring Center, a part of Wesley’s Department of Academic Support on October 6. With the relocation of a computer lab, the department was able to repurpose the space to be devoted to the tutoring program, which previously had no area to call home.
